What is "Kangen" water & how is it made?

alt Kangen is Japanese for "return to life." The LeveLuk SD 501 (pictured at top left) ionizer takes tap water direct from your kitchen sink and transforms it! The Japanese call it Kangen water. We're not talking about "filtered" or "reverse osmosis." Water produced by the SD 501 is better for you than any bottled water you can buy. (For all you bottled water lovers, be sure you at least read the section below on bottled water.)

Here's how it works: The LeveLuk machine sits on your sink (it's no bigger than a toaster) and connects directly to your faucet. A diverter directs water to the machine with a flick of the switch. Tap water first goes through a 3 stage, high-power filtration system to eliminate contaminates such as lead, chlorine, effluvium, rust, and other debris, yet retains important minerals (that's important to remember as distilled, pure, or reverse osmosis water has little or no minerals which are vital in making good water). The filtration system alone rivals the best water filters on the market. And that's only the beginning! Next, the water travels into the "engine" or water cell where it goes through electrolysis. This is where the water is transformed with an ORP (Oxidative Reduction Potential) of between +1,130mV and -800mV. The electrolysis process is made possible by the water cell, containing 7 titanium electrode plates dipped in platinum. These plates separate negative and positive charged water. Kangen water coming out of the water cell is heavy with hydroxide ions (OH-), positive ions (such as calcium ions) and hydrogen. This makes the water richer in antioxidants than ANYTHING YOU CAN EAT or DRINK! You can choose from 8.5, 9.0, and 9.5 pH drinking water. There isn't a single bottled water on the market with a pH this high or ORP in the -500 range. In fact, the water is so "alive" that you should drink it within a few days or the ORP drops and the pH will hold for approx. 2 weeks. You won't find this in stores. It's too vital and alive to be packaged. If it was, the water would loose all it's positive ion properties by the time it gets to the store. That's why bottled water, now matter what brand, at any cost, cannot provide the health benefits that freshly made Kangen can.

Why you shouldn't drink Bottled, Reverse Osmosis, Filtered, or Tap water.

	Bottled water: Most of the bottled you buy is much more acidic than your tap water (some 100 times). Acidic bodies contribute to illness & disease. One of the common issues with people that are overweight is acidity. In order for the body to maintain proper pH, your diet must contain alkaline rich foods (approx. 80%) and your water should not be acidic. 40% of the bottled water is basically tap water or worse. It's generally acidic. Even the most expensive bottled water doesn't reach a pH exceeding 7.4. Kangen drinking water provides a pH of 9.5. A one point increase in pH is a ten fold increase in pH. In addition, the antioxidant properties cannot be sustained in bottled water. Light & time reduce the negative electrons in water. Bottled water quality is basically no better than tap water as the FDA does not require it to be any better than municipal water. Aside from many bottled waters being acidic and questionable free of contaminates, the ecological impact on our planet (as outlined above) is overwhelming. 	RO: reverse osmosis produces water with little or no minerals. Minerals are critical to making high pH and antioxidant rich water. It is impossible for the LeveLuk to "fix" RO water due to the stripping that RO has done. RO water is very acidic. Your body will lend you minerals (from bones and teeth) when drinking this water. Recent studies have shown that people who drink cola (which uses purified/reverse osmosis water) urinate large amounts of calcium, magnesium and other trace minerals. The more mineral loss, the greater the risk for osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure and a long list of degenerative diseases generally associated with premature aging.
	Filtered Water: Filtered water from your tap is based on the quality of your filter. Most only remove chlorine and leave heavy metals such as led or chemicals such as THMs. Filtered water cannot increase the pH nor can it improve the ORP value (antioxidant value) also known as Oxidation Reduction Potential.
	Tap Water: Many scientists estimate that 7 million Americans each year become sick from contaminated tap water, which can be lethal. Tap water, believe it or not, can be better than bottled water. However, a huge industry of water filters has evolved to help eliminate contaminates such as lead, chlorine, effluvium, rust, and other debris. Numerous scientific studies report that chlorinated tap water is a skin irritant and can be associated with rashes like eczema.

A few words about SODA. ACID. ACID. ACID. ACID!

FACT: 1 can of soda requires 32 glasses of water to neutralize the acidity. Most people don't get 8 glasses of water a day, so how can you stay alkaline if you're drinking 1 can of soda a day, or even 3 times a week? You'll never catch up! The fix is easy. Stop drinking cola.

Diet goes beyond the scope of this product, but alkaline water is important because Americans have the worst diets in the world. We are eating 80% acidic foods and 20 % alkaline foods. This is the EXACT opposite of what we should be consuming!!

Types of water the Enagic LeveLuk Water Ionizer Makes:

The LeveLuk has two water output tubes. One white directional/flexible tube which comes out of the top of the unit and another gray tube which directs the acid water into your sink. Two types of water come out of the machine during 4 of the 5 water types. When Clean Water pH 7 is used, the same water comes out the gray tube as well. Below are examples of how to use the 5 types of water.

Note: if you subtract the pH you are trying to output from 14, that gives you the pH that comes out the other tube. Below you will find the pH values of both outputs during the generation of the 5 water types. pH may vary from each water source. Calcium glycerophosphate is available to add to the unit to improve pH, but generally not required.

Strong Kangen Water - (not for drinking) used for cleaning tough grease on kitchen appliances, stains out of clothes and carpet, and for soaking fruits and vegetables to remove pesticides and greasy residue. pH 11+ COMES OUT OF WHITE TUBE. STRONG ACID pH 2.5 COMES OUT OF GRAY TUBE DURING THIS PROCESS.

Kangen Water - (for drinking and cooking) the best water for drinking. Also has better thermal conduction and boils faster. Great for soups, tea, coffee, steaming vegetables, rice, distilling spirits such as whiskey or other liquors to mellow the flavor and decrease hangovers. 8.5, 9.0, and 9.5 pH COMES OUT OF WHITE TUBE. Clean Water (drink with medications) removes chlorine, rust and cloudiness to create delicious drinking water. Clean water should be used when preparing milk for babies and when taking medicine because Kangen water is too quickly absorbed by the body. Acid Water (not for drinking) use as a beauty astringent. Spray on face after bathing, showing, or shaving to close our pores and tighten skin. What makes the Kangen Machine different from all the rest?
