EWOT - Exercise with oxygen therapy. Oxygen is king during exercise!
Learn what most people will never know about living longer, slowing the aging process, and staying healthy.
What's the first thing ER technicians put on your face after a major injury? An Oxygen mask. Did you suddenly forget how to breath the air everyone else is? Are you unable to get enough oxygen because you're injured (assuming your lungs are ok)? None of the above. Oxygen reduces the stress your body will endure. Stress is an oxygen killer. Lack of oxygen kills cells and slows down brain function and other organs. We are all aging due enzymatic systems failure which are responsible for the body's uptake and utilization of oxygen. If a cell is deprived of oxygen, it dies. If the cells die, you slowly start to die. If this happens often enough, you begin to age (and fast). In fact, cancer thrives in oxygen poor environments. So why do you need to increase the oxygen during exercise? Isn't exercise the way to a long healthy life? Yes and no. Consistent strenuous exercise requires a great deal of oxygen. Your body burns the existing oxygen in your red blood cells, regardless of how much you are breathing in You are using more oxygen than you are taking in.. Your oxygen levels (pO2), measured in millimeters of mercury, should be between 85 and 100 depending on your age. Many doctors will advise that your low score "... is normal for your age." It's true that it's normal, but it's only normal because 99% of people don't know that it doesn't have to be low and you can keep it high where it belongs! It is the single easiest step you can take to help prevent cancer, premature aging, illness, and more. Walk into any gym... see all the people breathing hard, straining their muscles, and sweating? Ok, so they're burning calories and building muscle, but many are not aware they may be aging themselves at a greater rate and increasing the opportunity for many illnesses.
This is where EWOT (exercise with oxygen therapy) comes into play. It's quite simple. Use an oxygen generator (as seen on left) which is a small portable device which plugs into the wall and produces 94% pure oxygen with no tanks to refill. A 7' tube (cannula or oxygen mask) connects to the machine and then goes over your ears and under the nose. While exercising (e.g., riding an exercise bike, elliptical, whole body vibration trainer (such as a TurboSonic) you will breathe approx. 20% higher levels of O2. With an oxygen mask you can almost double the O2 intake to between 35-40%!
How are we getting more oxygen by increasing the level we breathe normally?
Normally, a red blood cell carries no more than 97% oxygen. Many will argue that you cannot force another 3% into the cell. This is true. However, additional oxygen is absorbed by the plasma (which carry the red and white blood cells) and is then pushed into the body's cells without the aid of the red cells. This is called the Law of Mass Action. Very little oxygen actually gets through, but if you are consistently feeding your body the extra oxygen, there will be an extensive increase in your total tissue oxygen level. The goal is to keep the oxygen level of your blood at 100 points for your entire life.
Each stressful event in our life can drop our oxygen score drastically
We are at best breathing 20% oxygen (depending on altitude and pollution level)
Our oxygen level drops on average of 5 points per ten years.
Between ages 30-40 our oxygen level drops the most (up to 10 points)
The danger zone is an oxygen level of 60 or less
You could live to 120 if properly supplied with oxygen and are in good health
Our best oxygen score is 100 (normally found in young children)
We can keep our oxygen level at 100 if we try
Breathing O2 from an oxygen generator should be set at5-66literss per minute
You do not need to be a doctor or have one prescribe oxygen. Only 100% pure oxygen requires aprescriptiono (oxygen concentrators or oxygen tanksn.
A. Exercising "increases" the oxygen intake and therefor increases your body's oxygen content. Quite the opposite. The more strenuous the exercise, the more oxygen consumed than what you breath in.
B. Oxygen is only for elderly or injured. If the elderly used O2 during exercise in their younger years, they many not have to be on "medical grade oxygen" during their latter years.
C. Breathing higher levels of oxygen can hurt you. Not true unless you have very low pH levels (i.e., body is acidic). Your pH level should be 7.4 (or close to it). High levels of O2 consumption can cause oxidative stress and make the acidic levels worse. You can obtain a "pH test with color chart" from your local pharmacy. If they don't have one, ask them to order it. It costs about $5.00.
D. Running high in the mountains is the best way to get "fresh air." Not true. The higher the altitude, the lower the O2 level. Strenuous activity at high altitude is a major oxygen killer.
Examples of oxygen killers
We can help to neutralize the results of these stress factors by simply breathing higher levels of O2 during exercise. It's that simple.
smoking (each time you smoke you can drop 10 points)
alcohol (one molecule of alcohol kills 3 molecules of oxygen)
mental overstrain (death of a loved one, yelling at someone, etc.)
physical overstrain (boxing, marathon running, heavy weight lifting, endurance cycling)
lack of exercise
total bed rest
drugs (of all types)
traveling (business & pleasure)
Stop the morning hangover!
Breath oxygen for 10 minutes before you go to bed and ten minutes when you wake up. Your blood alcohol level can drop by up to .01% (reducing a hangover greatly). Every molecule of alcohol kills 3 molecules of oxygen.
Exercising with Oxygen...
Increases the amount of oxygen in the blood plasma
Can increase your pO2 levels higher than that of a 20 year old
Can be done while riding a stationary bike, elliptical, or using a treadmill.
Will instantly pink up your skin
Can provide a higher level of mental clarity
Can provide an increase in energy
Helps with the following conditions and/or recovery time
High Blood Pressure
Individuals which are exposed to loud noise environments
Severe Physical Exercise (lifting weights, running, boxing, etc.)
Oxygen therapies have great potential in boosting the immune system and killing particular cells. As early as 1931 Dr. Otto Warburg won the Nobel Prize in his work of what causes cells to become cancerous. “Cancer has only one prime cause. The prime cause of cancer is the replacement of normal oxygen respiration of body cells by an anaerobic (lacking in oxygen) cell respiration.” It is well known that cancer cells thrive under conditions of low oxygen and high acidity.
The heart goes into spasm largely due to lack of oxygen. The better the breathing is the more oxygen exists and less the heart has to work.
Q: How do I know if it's safe for me to start EWOT?
A: There is a test you should take which measures yourpHh level (the acidity of your body). You can buy Litmus paper at the drug store. You will simply put your saliva on this paper. If your levels are normal, you're ok to perform EWOT. If not, you need to get yourpHH level into a normal state.
Q: When I use an oxygen generator, what LMP (liters per minute) shall I set it to?
Q: What is the best exercise to take advantage of high O2 uptake?
A: The TurboSonic whole body vibration machine as seen on left (or other high quality vibration trainers). However, riding an exercise bike, or treadmill, elliptical, etc. will be fine.
Q: Do you need a prescription for an oxygen generator?
A: No. Not with oxygen generators. There are machines called oxygen concentrators which produce 100% pure oxygen and some states require a license. However, you are going to use an "Oxygen Generator."
Q: How long shall I breathe oxygen while exercising.
A: 15 minutes is a good rule of thumb.
